Our small family run business has the largest range of doors sizes in the UK with exclusive door sizes available only from us. In addition to our High Line pine range of internal louvre doors we also have a fantastic range of white louvre doors.
Araucaria White Line pre-painted pine louvre doors
White Line painted louvre doors are made from exactly the same premium timber as our high quality Araucaria
High Line units, the only difference is that they are painted white to save you the laborious task of having to prepare and prime the wood yourself.
There may be some minor imperfections and blemishes in the paint that can be rectified with a top coat; however some people choose to hang the doors just as they are. As is customary with all primed finishes, the primed coat on the white louvre doors will need scuffing up with fine sandpaper (to better aid adhesion) prior to applying your chosen topcoat.
All louvre doors are sold individually and supplied to you shrink wrapped for protection and ready for you to paint.
White painted interior louvre doors from Simply Shutters are available in a number of pre-set heights and widths. The slatted/vented louvres are 'open' to allow airflow.
Our white painted louvre doors are manufactured using premium grade pine and include engineered stiles.
All of the interior louvre doors in our extensive range are constructed with engineered stiles which ensure that issues such as bowing, warping or splitting will not be a concern for you.
What are engineered stiles?
Stiles are the vertical part of the frame on a louvre door. Engineered stiles are created through a process called laminating whereby thin strips of wood are bonded together in opposing directions and then encased in a wood veneer that gives the appearance of solid wood.
Wood is naturally fibrous meaning it will expand and contract in different temperatures and environments. Because of this the material is particularly susceptible to warping, bowing or splitting.
Because of the sturdy construction and opposing grain, louvre doors built with engineered stiles are better equipped to withstand the effects of high or low humidity in the air meaning they will last a lot longer than solid wood. Not only that but since it takes a lot of time and effort to manufacture an engineered stile you will only find this feature on the highest quality louvre doors.
Thanks to advances in manufacturing processes, engineered stiles look every bit as good as solid wood stiles.
Measuring and installation tips
White Line Painted louvre doors are trimmable to a minor degree. The doors are manufactured to be a 'finished' size so not much can be trimmed from the height or width of the door. We do not recommend trimming more than 10mm from either the top or bottom rails (20mm overall) and no more than 2-3mm per side from each vertical stile (5-6mm total).

The horizontal frame sections (rails) are held to the stile by dowels. Should you cut through one of these dowels when trimming, we suggest drilling a pilot hole and then inserting a 3” (75m) screw though the stile into the rail to replace the dowel. The screw head should be countersunk into the timber and then backfilled with wood filler and sanded for an invisible finish.
Made to measure pine louvre doors
If trimming is not an option for you and you require a particular size that we do not carry in stock we can still assist you. Simply Shutters offers a bespoke joinery service whereby we modify one of our stock sized doors to meet your specific requirements. To obtain a quotation simply click on the 'joinery service' button on the buy now page or contact our team who will be happy to help.
When measuring for a louvre door we recommend deducting a further 2mm from the size of the overall door to allow for door movement and hinge placement.
Before installing your louvre doors it is important to leave them in the room they are due to be installed in or a room that has similar humidity for at least 24 hours beforehand. Doing this allows the doors to become accustomed to the conditions and should reduce the possibility of expansion or shrinkage.
Please spend some browsing our online shop where you can find sizes of louvre doors in both inches and millimeters. Should you have any questions or require more information please feel free to contact us on 01842 814 260 or email

Following the initial placement of my order for white primed louvre doors on Saturday, I spoke with Paul Miller on Monday morning to see if he could assist with fast delivery as the doors needed hanging whilst my joiner was at home. Having chatted through the options available, I decided to have the natural finish doors and they arrived mid-morning

I was absolutely delighted with both the product, as well as the most fantastically impressive customer service; what Paul said would happen did happen!
I'm not sure how many times in the future I may need to purchase louvre doors or shutters but should the need arise, I will certainly choose Simply Shutters.
Likewise, should I have the opportunity to recommend their services to others, I would have no hesitation in extolling their quite remarkable service.
